The Waissailers entertained our residents. An excellent afternoon’s singing was enjoyed by all.
The pat dog visited our residents and took a break with her owner and two residents.
Paddy the donkey made a welcome visit to The White House. Paddy is from the Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth, Devon

Our regular Reminiscence Forums provide great stimulus for our residents to discuss topics of interest to them. The Forums are informal but a pictograph record of the forum conversations are drawn up as a record for everyone to share and reflect on. Examples of these are shown below:
Our first Tea Dance was held on 18th April 2013 under the banner of “CARE2 Dance Project”.
The project is based on the cooperation of a local Care setting, community setting and a primary school.
Ceciel Huddlestone van Oevelen, along with 3 art practitioners have secured funding from FEAST and the Community Foundation Trust, to deliver a community led dance project in 6 areas is Cornwall, following on from a successful pilot in Camborne.
The aim of the Group shall be to enhance the health and well being of people by employing a community led approach to the delivery of arts based projects. Which will also seek to both reduce social isolation and to strengthen community cohesion by providing a frame work that under the best circumstances offers room for everyone, is accepting and supportive of individuals, forgiving and kind, instructive and directive.
We have a large screen and big key pad computer and two lap tops available for all residents to use.

The White House was established in 1985 as a care home for the elderly.
In 2007 our residents, staff and management embarked on a project to create a Secret Garden for the enjoyment of all. Read more
