I am writing this letter on behalf of all family. We would like to say a huge thank you to all of you for the care you have given to our mum, Mrs N S, during her stay with you.
You have all done more than could ever be expected for mum and ourselves during what has been a very difficult time and for that we are very, very grateful.
It would be very unfair to single out any particular person as I do believe that it is because you work as a very professional team everyone is made to feel part of an extended family.
During mum’s final weeks and hours you treated her with a tenderness that can only be commended, the support that you have given to Tracey, Martin and myself has been wonderful. The decision for mum to spend her final days with you was the very best that could have been made.
We would thoroughly recommend The White House to anyone who is faced with the same decision we had to make when looking for a safe and caring environment.
Thank you all so much.
To All Staff at The White House
Just to say thank you all so much for the wonderful way you looked after Derek.
He was so so happy with you. It makes me feel I can send him to you when I need some respite.
I have always worried about sending Derek away but now I’ll be fine knowing he’s with you.
Derek & Flo
We were saddened to hear about the death of our uncle.
Thank you and all your staff for the time and care you gave him to help him settle in at the White House.
It is comforting to know that his last few days were happy ones.

Dear Eves and the the staff at the White House
Just a quick note to thank you and all the staff for the excellent care shown towards Mum during her 19 month stay at the White House. Mum felt safe with you and always said how well she was looked after.
From our experience of three other care homes in Cornwall, we would have to say that the White House’s level of care is head and shoulders above the rest.
Of course, we are very sad that Mum is no longer with us but we feel she was ready to go.
Thank you, too, for the support you gave us throughout but, especially, in Mum’s final days.
Finally, thanks to the two Mels for attending Mum’s funeral service. We were so pleased that the White House was represented.
Our best wishes to everyone
Julia & Jeff
Thank you so much for the wonderful Christmas Diary of events you have so kindly coordinated for the residents of the White House and which my mother has enjoyed so much. The trips to the pantomime at Truro and the Wadebridge Garden Centre were all things which I could not have undertaken, and proved to be special high- lights for Mum, which she never expected to any more, but was obviously still keen to do, and enjoy. You have done really well with her and she is still very animated and retains her true zest for life.
A big thank you to you and your team! She is still looking forward to the donkeys’ arrival in her bedroom next Christmas, not forgetting the pat dogs’ regular visits to see her. Musical afternoons are very high on her list together with the activities with the visiting entertainers and the loyal staff.
A happy New Year to you all.
Dear Eves, Lisa and Celeste
Thank you for the photograph of Mum, it is really lovely and I shall keep it as a reminder of her.
I will come and see you soon as we need to settle up any outstanding accounts for Mum. You all did so much for Mum right to the end and I can’t really find the words to express how grateful I am to all the girls that dealt with her. Things like all the hugs, cuddles and kisses she got from everyone, the little Christmas tree on her bedside table, keeping her clean and comfortable, etc. etc. Thank you seems such a small thing but it does come from my heart, you are all angels
To everyone at The White House for taking such good care of Ava.
For all the patience and care and affection that you have shown to mum during her stay with you. Very much appreciated and gave me such comfort to know mum was happy.
Lorraine and all the family
I would like to thank you and all your staff for all the help given to me and the wonderful care, kindness and love, also the attentions given to my dear Wynne.
I do hope people will read the “Thanks” in Western Morning News today for future reference if they need help.
I’ll always remember your kindness in September 2010 when I was having a hard time with Social Services.
Best wishes to you and all your kind and helpful staff.
Thank you so much for all your kindness, nothing was too much trouble for your attention I was so appreciative of your help.
I shall miss you all.
Once again all my love from
(Betty stayed at The White House for four weeks for respite care.)
I’m writing on behalf of the family to thank you and Mum’s carers for all you did for her over the short period of time that she was living in the White House.
Mum may not have acknowledged the fact, but we were very aware that if it hadn’t been for you and your staff, she would have been back in Bodmin Hospital (which she hated) within a couple of weeks and would have died sooner.
It was a relief to us to discover that, contrary to what the press would have one believe, not all care homes are poor and all carers are rogue brutes! As far as I’m concerned, Mum was treated with respect and great care, and I shall be forevergrateful to you all.
With best wishes,
