Allows you to experience life at The White House and meet up with friends here and have lunch and / or tea, while your carer has a day out.
We have the benefit of two local GP Surgeries supporting our Home. Our residents can choose their own GP or we will assist them to make arrangements during their stay.
District Nurses attached to both surgeries often visit the White House to provide specialist nursing care to our residents who need it.
Access to other health care professionals. for example physiotherapists, speech therapists, dentists will be arranged as required. Chiropody is provided by Daniel privately, but if you would like to see a NHS podiatrist , this can be arranged. Eye tests can be arranged with a choice of opticians in the town, Boots and Specsaver or with Visioncall who visit the Home twice a year.
Family and friends are always welcomed with the offer of refreshments at any reasonable time of the day.
You are most welcome to come and visit us. It is best to avoid lunch time (12.00 noon to 1.30 pm) unless you are eating with a resident. Friendly dogs are welcome to accompany you, as long as they are kept on a lead.
Parking for the Disabled Badge
We have a “Parking for the Disabled Badge” for the Home, that people can use to take their relative out. It gives two hours parking in a Disabled space if displayed with the Parking Badge.
Please ask any of our staff who will assist to obtain the pass when you want.
