Meet our Carers

At The White House we recognise that our care staff are our greatest assets. It's all down to our people. You'll find the team here are passionate about meeting every individual's needs, going out of their way to make The White House a happy home for all our residents. Our carers are skilled with qualifications to manage the care needs of our residents.

Eves Carkeek

Registered Manager

I have been managing the White House since it started in 1985, at the time it was jointly run by myself and my two sisters. In 2000, it was purchased by Platinum Care Ltd and I stayed on as the Manager of The White House

Over the years I have continued to keep my training up to date and have my NVQ4 Managers award.  I have strong links with all the health professionals and get involved in projects like Immedicare to help improve and support the people who live here.

I have been a Trustee at the John Betjeman Centre at Concern Wadebridge since 2018.  It supports local people and help provide hospital transport and community links.  This gives The White House resident access to a bus for trips out and events events to attend at the center.

We would always have a team for the Bodmin Ten tors to raise money for local charities and always one of the first to register and get a few teams together.

In my spare time I like to walk and visit local places in Cornwall.  I have a dog so am often out enjoying dog friendly places.  I enjoy spending time with family and friends.  I have a small camper van and like visiting areas for a couple of days.

Prior to joining The White House, I was a NVQ assessor and also spent time as an agency care worker where I had experience in a variety of care settings but I realised my passion was in caring for the elderly where I feel I can make a difference those who want to continue to live as independent life as possible.
