Quality Care by Professionals you can Trust

Types of Care

The White House Care Home is a residential care home for the elderly located in the County Town of Bodmin, Cornwall. We also cater for residents that have a diagnosis of dementia or individuals that require similar support needs.

Most of our residents are permanent but we also offer short-term care for those needing some respite or convalescence.

Respite care is an excellent way of seeing what is on offer before making a decision to come in to the Home permanently and often works as a useful way of familiarising yourself with the different aspects of the home.

We welcome both residents who are self-funding and those receiving financial support.

Home Away from Home

At The White House we don't accept that losing some of your ability to look after yourself also means losing your individuality, privacy, dignity and love for life.

Our residents come from varying backgrounds for a variety of reasons. What ever the reasons, we will ensure that we develop a care programme to suit your personal needs and interests.

At The White House, care, company, help with daily tasks and security are offered day and night.

Family, friends and other visitors are always welcome at The White House (subject to current Covid-19 restrictions) .

Staff are friendly and fully trained and most have been working at the home for many years and live locally.

Our Facilities

The White House has 34 individual bedrooms (16 with en-suite WCs and 2 with en-suite bathrooms). All rooms are offered fully furnished and have TV points.

Residents are however encouraged to bring their own possessions to make it feel like home. Our residents are encouraged to mix and make friends in one of the 2 comfortable lounges, or dine in one of the two dining rooms. There is a large garden with some secluded and private areas for chats / relaxation. We also encourage residents who enjoy gardening and to treat the garden as their own.

A wide selection of activities is on offer including visiting entertainers, arm chair aerobics or sometimes just game of skittles or a trip into town or the beach, nothing is ever too much for the staff of The White House.
